Noongar artist Sandra Hill led the creative activities as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations in Western Australia, sponsored by Ventia

In celebration of NAIDOC Week, Ventia embraced the theme of 'Because of Her, We Can' in offices, on projects and at external events right across the country.

From visiting 'culturepreneurs' sharing stories of empowerment to sponsoring art exhibitions, to interactive craft and educational activities, our support of NAIDOC Week events involved staff, their families and the community.

Indigenous Business Partner, Harry Thorne, said Ventia was playing an important role in reconciliation by recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

Ventia's participation in NAIDOC Week is one of the many ways the company supports the community and promotes Indigenous culture.

We have some important initiatives around employment, cultural sensitivity and the importance of respecting diversity and reconciliation," Harry said.

We're proud of the contribution we make to Indigenous communities by creating social, employment and business opportunities across our projects and operations.

Harry also recently featured in a video in support of National Reconciliation Week, watch it here.
