Employees from across Auckland volunteered at a very special event, as Ventia once again sponsored the Special Children’s Christmas Party.

Held at the Auckand Showgrounds, employees joined up to 2000 children and their families at the event which included activities, entertainment and the ever-popular Santa’s Toy Cave. 

Ventia was a major sponsor of the event this year, and we are proud to play a part in helping Stuff and Sky TV put on an event that brings so much joy. 

Coordinator of our participation Laura Stokes says being involved in this event is the highlight of her year. 

I really love that we get to support such an amazing event. Giving back to the communities in which we operate and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces is so fulfilling.

Executive General Manager for New Zealand Damian Pedreschi headed to the event again this year and says you could feel the joy and excitement in the room. 

“Our Ventia Team delivers for our community every day in the work we do,” Damian says. “These past few years we have worked even harder to make a difference in our communities, with the successful launch of our Ventia Community Grants Program and our support of many charities and events across the motu (country).” 

But nothing beats being able to support the New Zealand Special Children’s Party to bring some joy to thousands of children who have had to face significant challenges and deserve nothing more than a day that brings a smile to their faces.

Every year in New Zealand, nearly 10,000 Kiwi children with special needs, challenging life or health circumstances are invited along to one of the parties held in locations across the country. 

These parties make a huge difference, allowing kids to be kids and have a blast.
