We’re proud to support Legacy in their mission to provide essential services to Veterans and their families.
Recently, Brendan Cox, CEO of Legacy Brisbane, shared personal stories via an all-employee webinar that highlighted the profound impact Legacy has on the community. He shared with us the five core programs that Legacy offers, ranging from support for ageing widows to empowering youth and assisting families.
Legacy began with a promise made on the battlefield during WWI, when an Australian soldier pledged to look after the wife and family of his dying mate. While times have changed, that promise has not.
Legacy remains committed to supporting Veterans' families with the same dedication and care as it did over a century ago. By assisting over 40,000 widows and 1,600 children in Australia, Legacy ensures they receive the care and support they need.
Legacy Week runs from 1-7 September 2024, and is a pivotal time to recognise the incredible work Legacy does in building and creating relationships with Veterans and their families.
Legacy’s commitment to continuity of care for youth and families of Veterans resonates deeply with our values at Ventia. As part of our ongoing support, we will be selling Legacy badges and offering donation tins at our offices. These badges may be small, but they have a mighty impact, and we're thrilled to stand behind Legacy, building on our own Veterans Program.
