Description

City Rail Link (CRL) is New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project and Ventia is playing a key role in supporting providing installation and electrical work for the development of this important infrastructure. The City Rail Link will enhance Auckland’s transport network for the benefit of the community.

Our team is delivering installation of systems associated with the electrical, communications and associated containment for stations across the development as well as additional professional services to the Link Alliance (the consortium delivering the main stations and tunnels for the City Rail Link project). This includes validation and verification of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) data associated with design.

Exceptional service delivery throughout this project has not only seen our team continue to play a critical role in this project but has also seen our scope grow beyond the original two stations we were engaged for, adding a third in late 2023.

Scope of work

  • Delivering installation of systems associated with the electrical, communications and associated containment for new and refurbished rail stations
  • Professional services including validation and verification of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) data associated with design.
  • Project controls

Project outcomes

  • Ventia has developed project controls that have been recognised as leading the way and have been adopted right across the project. This has included the development of dashboards and controls that, amongst other things provide the CRL board and the Alliance with live data for the progress of the project.
  • When the project faced a surge in activity, we mobilised a team of over 250 skilled electricians and trades assistants to meet demand, demonstrating our commitment to supporting critical infrastructure projects and contributing to the growth of the local community.
